  • Old timey westerns....yes, I said westerns!
  • Red wine
  • Chocolate (Dove-Rich Dark Chocolate)
  • Shopping

Things I don't like:

  • Dishonest people
  • The news (too negative for the most part)
  • Bad attitudes, behavior, and those that thrive on gossip and rumors
  • Beans (will still try to eat them though..cause I know they're good for you)
  • People that always complain about their circumstances, but never try to change or make them better.
  • Walking barefeet inside. (I have to have on socks or houseshoes..don't like my feet touching a bare floor....go figure)
  • Being woke up from sleep by a ringging phone....please don't call me early in the morning....UNLESS it's very important or an emergency.
  • Hearing kids being sassy and smart-mouthed to their parents.

My Favorite things:

  • My Cellphone ( my Moto Q )
  • My PC
  • My Car
  • Food - Bojangle chicken ( yeah, yeah...I know it's not good for you, but it sho' taste good)
  • My MP3  player.
  • Drink - Propel fitness water (kiwi-strawberry) and Mt. Dew.
  • Book - The Bible, and "Cane River" by Lalita Tademy
  • Movie(s) - Tombstone, Harlem Nights, The Notebook, Memoirs of a Geisha, A Few Good Men, The Negotiator, Alexander, 300, ...there are a few more, but these are top.
  • Artist - Kem (seriously, I love this man), John legend, Kirk Franklin, Detrick Haddon, and Marvin Sapp. These men make me feel good (of course I'm talking their music).
  • TV personalities - My big sister "Oprah".....and my spiritual mom "Joyce Meyers"...Although I know them not, or ever will for that matter, still I draw so much inspiration and motivation from these ladies.  They radiate kindess, sincerity, and goodness from the heart.  These women have money yes, and because of that they are in positions to do things us "everyday folks" can't do, but I feel even if their lives were different, they would still possess those same qualities and still do so much good for the community.  It would just be on a different level, and we probably wouldn't know about it.
  • TV Shows - The Inspiration Network, TBN, DayStar, and I like CSI Miami
  • People (in Real Life) - My sisters...Great sisters, and wonderful friends.  We have so much fun together...life wouldn't be the same without them.

                                           TRACEY'S Q & A™      ( updated 12/01/08 )

Q: What are your thoughts about our new president?

A: "Well, I personally think he was the better man for the job based on his education, his character, his experience, and his vision  Yeah, I know experience was the argument of the day when he first decided to run, but I think Sarah Palin and her experience..or the lack there of kindda put that to rest."

Q:  Do you think  we will actually see  "Change in America"?

A: "Sure I do, but considering the state of things today, it's unrealistic to think that there's going to be some miraculous changes over night.  I mean look at it like this...it took  years to get to the point it is now..we didn't just wake up one morning and the market was bad, gas was high, and jobs were gone.  It was a gradual process...therefore so shall the repair be."

Q:  As a Black American, what has having a black man elected as president meant to you?

A:  "To me it only reinforces the fact that race shouldn't disqualify a person from doing anything that they are truly qualified to do. That's why whenever I would see an article or headline that would read "Is America ready for a Black president?"...I would literally want to scream!  Seriously!...why wouldn't it be??  He's a man qualified for the job, and he happens to be black.  I'm glad I was able to witness it, as were many who thought they wouldn't live to see it, but this is America and if it only consisted of one race, then I guess you would expect to see one race in every office or position, but that's not the case, nor will it ever be....like it or not."

Q:  What is your Hope for America?

A:  "My hope for America is that people of all races realize that we are all God's children, but if you don't believe in God or try to live according to his word, then that probably don't mean much, but we need to get out of the mind set  that we're better because of our skin, or our job, or where we live.  None of that means anything to the Lord because He created you, and He blessed you with whatever it is you have.  Yeah there are some who like to take the credit all for themselves talking about" I got this because I worked hard all my life"..but if not for the Lord waking them up each  day they wouldn't have anything."

Q:  Well, looks like we need to wrap this Q & A session up...we can't give everything away all at once, but is there anything else you'd like to say?

A:  "Yes, since we were talking about the president...I'd like to say to everyone, whether you were an Obama supporter or not. What we must do as a country is start praying for our leaders..in all branches.  Nevermind who they are as individuals,  or whether you voted for them are not because it don't change the fact that they are now in office.  So, what we need to do is pray for them that they will make good, moral decisions for themselves, and most of all....for our country. "

Well folks, with that said we're going to bring this to a close, but do check back for updated Q & A.   As always...Live, love, and laugh often

...and remember, "Dreams are meant to be chased....keep running! "
